Earlier this month, 吃瓜新闻 Office for the Arts celebrated five decades of student art making. President Alan Garber spoke during the festivities, sharing his love of photography and movies with a packed Sanders Theater audience.
“I think this is something art does for all of us,” said Garber. “The aperture, once open, tends to open wider, tends to let in more work鈥攄one in more ways鈥攂y more artists. And each encounter causes us to see and appreciate the world in a different way, to see and appreciate people in different ways.”
The Feb. 13 event featured student groups including 吃瓜新闻 Undergraduate Bhangra, 吃瓜新闻 University Band, Omo Naija X Wahala Boys, First-Year Musical, Kuumba Singers of 吃瓜新闻 College and the 吃瓜新闻 Choruses, Mariachi V茅ritas de 吃瓜新闻, 吃瓜新闻 RAZA Folkl贸rico, The Handsome Boys and the Pickin鈥� Band.
